After a person is done exercising, it will be necessary to replenish fluids and energy in the body. If a person has been participating in strength training, the body will need protein. Here are a few of the best beverages to drink following a solid workout.

Nutrition experts have always recommended that a person should drink a glass of milk following a workout. Milk helps to build muscle and is filled with protein. Obviously, water is the perfect natural beverage to consume following a workout. While working out on treadmills or other equipment, it is wise to keep a bottle of water nearby. Water hydrates the body, improves digestion, keeps muscles lubricated, and also regulates body temperature. No matter what activity a person does throughout the day, it is key to drink plenty of water. Most people do not realize that the body thrives on water.
