Police in Tennessee found a fugitive hiding in a dark closet and “enjoying a bowl of salad.” Timothy Black, 54, was wanted in Monroe County on theft and shoplifting charges, according to Chattanooga TV station WRCB. An investigation led deputies to a home in McMinn County, where authorities said they found Black sitting inside a closet with a bowl of salad in his hands.
A responding deputy told Black to put his fork down before it could “become a weapon,” Sheriff Joe Guy told WRCB. Black dropped the salad and was quickly arrested. He remained in jail on a $10,000 bond. “At least he was eating healthy,” Guy quipped.
