26-year-old Dan Davidson use to consume 6,000 calories a day, going on vodka binges and eating nothing but fast food until his weight shot up to 238lbs. He said: ‘I was going to the gym but it was making no difference to my body shape. I had man boobs and hated the way I looked. The low point for me was when a lass pointed at me and said I was, “the fat one”.’
Desperate to lose weight, he changed to a high-protein diet of grilled chicken and fish. In one year, his weight dropped down to 182lbs and his waist shrank from 36in to 30in. His body fat percent also went from 30% down to 6%.
Dan’s Old Diet

8pm further snacks: Sweets
Dan’s New Diet

10am snack: 150g of turkey breast with spinach
12.30pm lunch: Chicken breast and sweet potato
3pm snack: 150g of skinless haddock
5.30pm evening meal: Chicken breast and brown rice

He gave up his vodka binges and went from being a “lardy” to a body builder in just over a year.
The dad-of-two said: “I still cannot believe how I have changed. The key for me was giving up the booze.
“If I was on the lash, I would be eating all the wrong things and bingeing on fast food. I could easily get through 6,000 calories in a day and would drink a bottle of vodka over a weekend.
“I was still going to the gym during this time but it was making no difference to my body shape. I had man boobs and hated the way I looked.
“The low point for me was when a lass pointed at me and said I was, ‘the fat one.'”

That was the trigger point which prompted Dan to get serious about fitness.
He changed his diet, ditching his favourite Coco Pops and takeaways for a high protein diet of grilled chicken and fish.
He also started taking Forza T5s – the supplements which helped Made In Chelsea star Spencer Matthews lose two stone to get in shape for his Men’s Health magazine cover.
Over the next year, Dan lost four stone, going from 17st to a far healthier 13st.
His “vodka belly” disappeared quickly as he lost a staggering six inches from his waist, down from 36in to just 30in.
But the perhaps the most remarkable change was in his body fat ratio, which went down from 30% to just 6%.

Dan, from Grimsby, finally felt confident about his body and decided to splash out on a studio photo shoot where he posed in his underwear like David Beckham.
He smiled: “I loved posing for the pictures. A few people have joked that I look like Becks in his kecks.
“I have worked so hard to get the body of my dreams and I don’t see why I shouldn’t celebrate that success.”
He explained: “They were the key to losing a lot of that fat including my man boobs. They really help you to burn calories more effectively by speeding up your metabolism.”
Once he’d ditched the fat, Dan need to bulk up and he said Forza’s Lipowhey protein shake helped him to get buff.
Dan said: “It really helped me to increase my strength, performance and recovery.”
Now Dan is knowledgeable enough to swap diet and exercise tips with girlfriend Rachel – mother of his children Noah, four, and 18-month-old Freya.
He said: “I have learned so much from her about diet and fitness and now we are both in great shape. I couldn’t have done this without her.”
