Four Delicious Ways To Spice Up Your Protein Intake

You’ve probably heard it said, “You can’t have your cake and eat it too.” Well, that phrase is so 15th century (it actually is).  There are multiple ways to mix up your trusty post-workout protein shake that merges the best of both worlds: taste and nutrition.  Now go ahead and have your cake, a mini chocolate Lean Shake cake that is.

Mini Chocolate Lean Shake Cake

  • 1/4 c. GNC Total Lean Shake 25 Rich Chocolate
  • 1 TBSP of chia seeds
  • 1/4 c. egg whites
  • 1 [heaping] tsp. of cocoa
  • 2 TBSP of canned pumpkin or applesauce
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1-2 drops of vanilla extract

A microwave

Combine the dry ingredients, then add the rest, mixing thoroughly. Heat 70-80 seconds on high in the microwave, depending on how “done” you like it. Use a spoon to pull the cake edges from the mug and flip onto a plate for serving. Garnish with dark chocolate chips or more cinnamon if you choose.
