Skip Cardio To Sleep In? Say What?

Your attempts to reveal your sexy physique may be inhibited by your sleep schedule. Limiting your sleep slows down your metabolism, favors fat storage and can cause your body to break down muscle tissue. In a recent study at the University of Chicago, dieting subjects who got 8.5 hours of sleep lost an average of 3 pounds of bodyfat while their counterparts who got only 5.5 hours of shut-eye lost only a little over a pound of fat and over 5 pounds of lean body weight in 2 weeks. So don’t be afraid to occasionally skip your morning cardio in favor of the snooze button — it may save you some muscle.
